About our candles
What are your candles made of?
All Fia & Flame candles are hand-poured with natural soya wax. Our wicks are lead-free cotton, and every candle is made in small batches in Ireland.
How long do the candles burn?
Approximately 40 hours for both our gel and wax candles. To get the most from your candle, trim the wick to 5mm before each burn and let the first burn melt evenly across the top.
How should I care for my candle?
Let the first burn melt evenly across the top surface (about 2–3 hours) to prevent tunnelling. Trim the wick to 5mm before each burn. Never leave a lit candle unattended, near draughts, or within reach of children or pets. Discontinue use when 1cm of wax remains.
Are your candles safe?
Every candle is hand-poured following safety best practice, uses lead-free cotton wicks, and is tested for a clean, even burn. That said, a candle is still an open flame — please follow the care instructions above.

What if my candle arrives damaged?
We're so sorry. Please get in touch via our contact page within 48 hours with a photo of the packaging and the candle, and we'll arrange a replacement or refund straight away.
Can I return a candle?
Because our candles are handmade and sometimes personalised, we accept returns only on unused, unopened items within 14 days of delivery. See our refund policy for full details.

Can I have a candle personalised?
Yes — our Personalised Pearl Initial Candle can be made with the initial of your choice. For larger custom orders or bespoke designs, please get in touch.
Do you do corporate gifting?

Do you take Diwali orders?
Yes — our festive floral diyas and floral candles are ready to gift for Diwali. To be safe, please order at least 5 working days before the festival.
