Fia & Flame is an independent handmade candle business based in Ireland, selling to customers across the European Union, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America.
2. Products & Descriptions
All products sold through this website are handmade in small batches. Due to the handcrafted nature of our candles, slight variations in colour, pattern, fragrance intensity, and finish may occur between individual pieces. These variations are a natural characteristic of handmade goods and are not considered defects.
We make every effort to display product colours and details as accurately as possible. However, actual colours may vary slightly from those shown on screen due to differences in monitor and device settings.
All prices are displayed in euros (EUR) and include VAT where applicable. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery location.
3. Ordering & Contract Formation
Placing an order through our website constitutes an offer to purchase. A binding contract is formed only when we send you an order confirmation by email. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order for any reason, including stock availability, suspected fraud, or pricing errors.
If we are unable to fulfil your order, we will notify you and issue a full refund promptly.
4. Shipping & Delivery
We ship to Ireland, the European Union, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America.
Estimated delivery times:
- Ireland: 2–4 working days
- Rest of Europe & United Kingdom: 5–10 working days
- United States: 7–14 working days
Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to customs processing, postal service disruptions, public holidays, or circumstances beyond our control. Fia & Flame is not liable for delays caused by third-party carriers or customs authorities.
Risk of loss and damage passes to you upon delivery. For orders shipped outside Ireland, the customer is responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or additional charges imposed by their country's authorities.
5. Returns, Refunds & Right of Withdrawal
EU & UK Customers — Right of Withdrawal
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (Directive 2011/83/EU) and the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us by email at fia.flame01@gmail.com with a clear statement of your decision to cancel. You must return the goods within 14 days of communicating your cancellation. Items must be unused, unopened, and in their original condition and packaging.
The cost of returning the goods is your responsibility unless the item is faulty or incorrect.
Once we receive the returned item and confirm it is in its original condition, we will issue a full refund (including standard delivery costs) within 14 days using the same payment method you used for the original purchase.
Exceptions: The right of withdrawal does not apply to personalised or bespoke products made to your specification, or to sealed goods that are not suitable for return due to health or hygiene reasons where the seal has been broken.
US Customers
We offer returns on unused, unopened items within 14 days of delivery. To initiate a return, please contact us at fia.flame01@gmail.com. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or incorrect.
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned item.
Personalised or custom-made items are not eligible for return.
All Regions — Faulty or Damaged Items
If your order arrives damaged or you receive a defective product, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at fia.flame01@gmail.com with photographs of the item and packaging. We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no additional cost to you.
Under EU Directive 1999/44/EC and the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, consumers have statutory rights regarding faulty goods. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.
6. Candle Safety
Our candles are handmade products that involve an open flame when lit. By purchasing and using our candles, you accept responsibility for following the safety and care instructions provided with each product. Fia & Flame is not liable for injury, damage, or loss caused by improper use, neglect, or failure to follow candle safety guidelines.
General safety guidance:
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.
- Place candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from draughts, flammable materials, and direct sunlight.
- Trim the wick to 5mm before each use.
- Do not burn a candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
- Discontinue use when approximately 1cm of wax remains.

All content on this website — including but not limited to text, photographs, product images, graphics, logos, page layouts, and designs — is the property of Fia & Flame and is protected by Irish, EU, UK, and international copyright and intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, republish, or use any content from this website for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

EU & UK customers: These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts. This does not affect your statutory rights under the consumer protection laws of your country of residence where those laws provide a higher level of protection — in such cases, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence shall apply.
EU consumers may also refer disputes to the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
US customers: These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. You agree that any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or your purchase shall be resolved in the courts of Ireland, except where prohibited by applicable US federal or state law. Nothing in these terms affects any non-waivable statutory rights you may have under the laws of your state of residence.
